One of my favorite cities on the face of this planet is Cape Town South Africa.  With its southern Californian climate, large outcroppings of rock, and a general feeling of hope thanks to the now fading memory of apartheid, Cape Town is a great place to drop into for a day, a month or as long as you can stay.   This image was originally produced during a 100 day assignment for the Institute of Shipboard Education’s, Semester at Sea program.  The Wall Street Journal Magazine relicensed the image from me to illustrate an article on the cruise industry and its hopes in returning the once chic vacation to its former glory.
